The Drake Devonshire in Wellington PEC is the perfect venue for romantic, relaxed PEC wedding photography.
First of all, Amy and Shuya are just the sweetest, kindest couple and I had so much fun photographing their intimate Drake Devonshire wedding! They opted for a small brunch wedding in early spring with 40 of their closest family and friends. Heather of Bow Tied With Love created a beautiful mini destination wedding for them. I loved their easy-going, personalized approach to their wedding day. The entire day was romantic, joyful and fun without any moments of stress that can sometimes accompany a wedding. The day featured a waterfront ceremony, brunch, and sunset photos at the Sandbanks Provincial Park.
One of my favourite personal touches was their first look followed by a private pre-ceremony vow reading. I absolutely love the idea of taking a moment before the ceremony just for the two of you to share some more intimate person vows. The emotional photos were some of the most memorable of the day!
After their vow reading, they joined their guests for the official ceremony on the beach.
The ceremony was followed by a private three course brunch, speeches and celebration with their closest family and friends.
My favourite part of the day was heading to Dunes Beach at Sandbanks Provincial Park. Amy and Shuya opted for the brunch reception, which was perfect because their Drake Devonshire wedding ended earlier than a traditional wedding day. This allowed us plenty of time to travel out to the park to get these beautiful sunset photos!
