A Sea to Sky Gondola Wedding in Squamish BC offers some of the best views on Canada!
The idea for this shoot came about on a cold February day in Toronto, while dreaming of spring and mountain adventures. My friend, wedding planner Ashlie Metcalf, recently moved out to Squamish (a small town about an hour north of Vancouver) so this was the perfect chance to create some mountain top wedding inspiration together. I really wanted to emphasize the natural beauty of the west coast, so the Sea to Sky gondola in Squamish was the perfect choice. It offers such a stunning setting with a view of mountains and ocean. After a long winter, I really wanted to create some photos that felt like springtime in the mountains.
We put together a team of talented vendors from Toronto and Vancouver to help bring this Sea to SKy gondola wedding inspiration to life! Garden Party Flowers created the most perfect romantic, wildflower-inspired florals. The bride wore a Rue de Seine Dress (currently my favorite wedding designer!) from Union Bridal, complemented with a loose updo and touches of soft pink and gold makeup by Save the Date Beauty. The reclaimed vintage boho headpiece from Toronto’s Hattitude Jewellery provided the perfect second-look for later in the day after the flower crown has wilted in the hot sun! For the reception, Ashton of Bespoke décor created an adorable little picnic for the bride and groom to enjoy, and Vancouver pastry chef Nicole McEachnie provided the prettiest little naked cake. The elegant stationery and beautiful handwritten Pablo Neruda poem was provided by Toronto-based Peartree and Clover.
