I’m so excited to share this beautiful Victoria BC wedding editorial now that it’s been featured on Wedding Sparrow!
Back in early April when it was still snowing in Toronto I escaped to my hometown of Victoria BC for a couple weeks. I’m so inspired by the beauty of the west coast and jump at any chance to work as a wedding photographer in Victoria.
Unfortunately I got the flu right before I was about to start planning this shoot. That meant we only had 2 weeks left to plan everything after I recovered. Luckily I had the the help of some amazing wedding creatives working with me! Most of all the talented Barb from French Kiss Events did all the heavy lifting to bring this shoot to life! I’m so happy with how everything turned out, especially with such a short time to plan!
All of the details came together perfectly! I’m so in love with the delicate lace dress by Truvelle, and wild spring florals by Thorn and Thistle. Also, how perfect is the cute table setup on the beach? To top it off, of my favourite calligraphers, Maurelle created the beautiful blush toned stationery! I spent hours searching all the beaches around Victoria for a mix of rugged coastal rocks and a sandy beach and Willows Beach with Cattle Point right next to it was just perfect! It’s no secret that the west coast is known for its rain, but we got lucky for this shoot. It was the most beautiful sunny spring day, and ended with perfect pastel tones at sunset.
My favourite thing about editorial shoots is being able to experiment with images that I don’t always get the chance to create at a wedding. Hopefully this inspires brides to make time for these types of photos on their wedding day!
