I always love photographing Ravine Vineyard weddings!
It’s just such a beautiful place kind of feels like a destination wedding someplace in Europe! Afterall, there’s nothing more romantic than getting married in the middle of a vineyard! Christine and Sean’s wedding was in October, which is a bit late in the season for an outdoor vineyard wedding. But the fall colours provided such a beautiful backdrop that it made up for the less than perfect weather. I had actually never visited Niagara-on-the-Lake during the fall and I loved the unique rich tones!
Christine and Sean were such an easy going couple! I love that they and were able to stay calm and keep smiling even when things didn’t go to plan on their wedding day.
Just as they were getting ready for the ceremony, they found out their officiant was in the hospital and wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding. They were luckily able to find a replacement so the ceremony wasn’t delayed by too long. But by then it had started raining and it looked like an outdoor ceremony might not happen. In the end they decided not to let the rain ruin their dream ceremony. I’m always so glad when couples make the choice to just embrace rain. The results are always worth it!
After the ceremony we all warmed up and dried off in the cozy Ravine Vineyard restaurant, elegantly decorated with minimalist greenery and lots of romantic candles. One of my favourite things about photographing weddings at the Ravine is definitely the food! My husband and I actually came here for one of our anniversaries a few years ago and had a private table on the patio outside. The food is always so good and i’ve been lucky to have sweet couples who made sure to feed us like guests, which i’m always so grateful for :)
