The last of my west coast sessions! Every time i’m back on the west coast I start thinking about moving back there. I love being surrounded by nature and having beautiful landscapes almost everywhere I look. This was also my first summer trip back there in years since I usually visit in between wedding season in the winter. As most people who have moved away from their hometown probably would agree, you really never appreciate or even notice the beauty of a place until you leave for awhile. As soon as my husband Dave and I stepped off the plane in Victoria we remarked on the freshness of the air and the soft beautiful sunset light. Ashley and Kevin’s engagement session was originally planned for a beach up on the west coast, but on the day of the session Ashley texted me to let me know that they were stuck up in Nanaimo and weren’t able to make the drive to the other side of the island. I quickly googled a few parks near Nanaimo and easily found Neck Point Park which ended up being the perfect combination of forest, beaches and a beautiful spot the watch the sunset!
